Wes Brown is not only playing serving as a player in Blackburn Rovers but also as a coach as the 37 year old English defender is one of the coaches of the development squad of the English League Championship club.

The English defender has a playing career which spans for over 20 years and he is using all of that experience to guide the younger generation of players that are rising through the academy of the club.

Taking into consideration that Wes Brown is 37 years old, he is probably reaching the last few years of his career and from the looks of it, Brown is already thinking about life after his playing days are over and has initiated his coaching career.

Brown officially completed his move to Blackburn Rovers on September 21st as he made a move from Sunderland over to the English League Championship club. So it has not been even 1 month since this transfer was done and he has already been receiving praise from the Rovers manager Owen Coyle as he said:

“This is a player who was coming in for training, not signed, but was there at all the games wishing the boys well and encouraging them, and that speaks volumes for how he is as a man. I now think he’s got himself in a position where he’s ready to play games at first team level.

“We’ve already got two outstanding young coaches in Damien Johnson and David Dunn, who take the Under-23 squad, and Wes will be able to impart some knowledge to the young players and help them as we go as well. He’s done his coaching badges and it helps him to do that whilst he’s still playing, but the main focus is he’s here to play, because I think he can certainly contribute to the team and help us.”
